I Feel Cream

I Feel Cream Review

2009 release from the controversial singer, songwriter, performer and trend-setter. On I Feel Cream, she does it again, this time producing, along with the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Soulwax, Digitalism and Drums Of Death, her most pop-sounding album to date. That's not to say she's mellowing or taking things easy. Far from it in fact. The beats remain as harsh and uncompromising as ever but with a new-found melodic groove that has only been previously hinted at. A perfect example of this is opening track 'Serpentine,' the title track 'I Feel Cream' or the luscious Synth-Pop of 'Lose You,' which sees Peaches deliver one of her most delicate and graceful vocal performances yet.

Witness to The Storm

Witness to The Storm Review

"Our music has always been dictated by the times and by our experiences living in it." says Denny Brewer, singer and guitarist for the father/son band, Refried Ice Cream. Some of the adjectives that have been used to describe this eclectic band include: psychedelic blues, spacey jazz, rock with intellect, and a spiritually enlightening hypnotic jam, trippy. Informed lyrics, improvisation, and pure originality have helped the band garner a reputation. Josh again, "When it comes to our sounds, we love exploring different musical dimensions. Spontaneity plays a huge part in our tunes."

Classic Albums: Cream - Disraeli Gears (Dol)

Classic Albums: Cream - Disraeli Gears (Dol) Review

CREAM was rock's first true "super group". Combining the extraordinary talents of ERIC CLAPTON, GINGER BAKER and JACK BRUCE, this power trio became the template for many hard rock acts of the seventies. The band remains a huge influence on the genre even to this day.

Powered by hits such as "Strange Brew" and "Sunshine of Your Love", Cream's second album, DISRAELI GEARS, moved the band beyond the blues into hard-driving, psychedelic pop. This was the album that not only broke the group in the United States but also established Clapton as an international superstar.

This addition of Disraeli Gears to the acclaimed Classic Albums series features brand new interviews with Clapton, Baker and Bruce, along with lyricist Pete Brown, Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, John Mayall and Manfred Mann. Also included on the DVD are acoustic performances, original studio tracks and archival live footage.
